Bernadette Dezzara (born on February 28, 1948, on the 28th of February 1948 in Ozone Park Queens New York) is a famous American actress, singer and storyteller of children's books. Her career spans more than five decades and covers TV, musical theatre, solo concerts, and recording. She's been nominated for 7 Tony Awards and won two and eight Drama Desk Awards. 4 of her Broadway album of cast on which she has starred were awarded Grammy Awards. Peters initially appeared on the stage when she was a kid, and later as an actress in her teenage years during the 1960s and in film and on television during the 1970s. In addition to her work on The Muppet Show, The Carol Burnett Show, and on other television shows, she was also praised for the roles that she been in Annie and Silent Movie. In the 80s the actress returned to Broadway which was where for more than three decades she was among Broadway's top performers.
