Christopher Peter Meloni (born Christopher Peter Meloni) is an American Actor, best known as a character on the well-known television series Law and Order Special Victims Unit. Since his time at college, Christopher Meloni has been attracted to the world of acting. He pursued a degree in acting at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Although he's been active in both films and television, however it is his roles in the smaller screen which earned him a cult admirers. The ability of his characters to appear on both sides of law is what has caught the attention of viewers. He played the part of a serial killer on his first television series project and then went on to take on the role that of a NYPD detective. The actor has been nominated several times for the highly coveted Emmy Awards and the PRISM Awards for his tiny screen performances. Eyes that are piercing blue on his face are considered to be his most attractive feature. The eyes have been employed to portray rough characters and give them charisma. People's magazine listed him as one of the Sexiest Men Alive for 2006.
